i dunnoe what to give any comments on this..... 4 weeks in production making, though halfdone, but theres a reason to it cause its really long, so i think cutting it into half would be a better idea....
(PS, the little squigly pink thingys below at a corner are the rewind, pause and play buttons. i forget to descript them in the flash)
dedicated to everyone who have watch/commented/critic/fav'd me and my works in deviantart.
you guys have make me what i am today.
BTW, the reason that we have this superb software and amazing tool is because LOTS of people work LOTS of hours to give us the industry standard. I'm poor as hell....so poor. But, with the free trial, and now the CS6 downloadable monthly subscription setup, at least look into this first. Please do everything that you can to insure that the software continues to improve this tool. And, once you buy the software, every new version is only like 10% of the cost to upgrade. I am not against, ahem, donning a pirate costume sometimes and plundering.....but, I want to support the company that makes the best tools of my trade so the version I get 10 years from now will be AMAZING!
I'm a senior in art school and have logged many hours into Flash (for fun and school). This tutorial was not only very informative, for all skill levels, but so well done that it gives me that warm feeling inside my chest of being part of an amazing and diverse artistic family. You obviously could be spending the many hours that it required to do this, toward something more "worth" your time financially. Yet, you have done this for us. I have always been artistic. Since going through art school, I have been an active member of the art community, and have come to love the people, the artists. I love art, and it keeps surprising me socially and physically.
heh thanks for the compliment, but I do feel the tutorial itself really didnt aged well in this era of time.
since this was done back when i only had like 1-2years experience of self-learning of flash. and also you had to sit through a lengthy intro that i forgot to put a skip button to skip(lol)
You know, I remember trying to follow this tutorial several years ago when I had a different DA account and I knew absolutely nothing about flash animation. I am now practically fluent in Flash animation and I still find your tutorial a little hard to follow, lol. I guess it's a bit too wordy for me to follow and lengthy in explaining something simple, but still appreciate the work you put into this tutorial.
great! but question: if I have a hand drawn character and I try to fill it in with paint bucket why will it not work? and how come the paint bucket and paintbrush seems to be connected when trying to pick a color?
