DA Achievement unlocked!
"being an art theft to your own artwork"

(the deviation is back, but I am retaining this proof of whoever that douchebag reported my work as art-theft >=C)

Stealing my own work!? Oh god wtf man, seriously wtf.

To whoever reported this as a art-theft, you are a fucking douche and I hate you.

and to whoever the staff approve the deletion....
you never even read my comments linking to the source of MY ORIGINAL ANIMATION...

becareful guys, Deviantart is now removing works done by you.....

*edit*
I just realize that scribble I did on the devart's avatar look like the >:C is flipping the finger

Appearently there's this retarded admin that thinks everything thats too good on dA is art theft too, they deleted one of my friends drawings because it looks SOOOO similar to this one manga artist's art.
So another admin (SMART, BRILLIANT) put the picture back up and he got fired since you're not aloud to correct another admins work.

You see, this is why people need to do research. When I go to report art theft I usually research it first just to make sure that I'm not reporting something that doesn't need it. :/

Actually a lot of the n00bs that think it's okay to just post whatever willy nilly actually admit it isn't theirs when you ask them. lol

they don't actually review these cases. they just take immediate action and generate a bullshit message

Curiously, the staff also ends up dismissing a case of real theft saying "Third Party Interest", even with proof. Meh. The staff's weird.

We can't because we can't see the Report Deviation button in our deviations. At least I'm not aware if such as changed.

hahaha ... I had something similar to that. I totally recreated something but somehow it was art theft.

NCH is right guys! Don't bother posting originals here. Fan art seems to slip through the crack pretty nicely these days.

Yeah that's crappy man =|

Someone reported me for art theft once. The reason was because the preview pic I used wasn't mine. What they failed to realize was- I didn't take credit for the preview pic, and they didn't download the picture.

dA actually removed it from my gallery. >_>; I really hate it when people don't read the 'Artist's Comments' We have them there for a reason..

FAQ #306: Does "Crediting" let me use whatever I want?
Actually, the admins have done their job right, in such case.

(Possible ans: )"They could've just deleted the preview image."
But that's not how it works, it seems.

Hope I made it clear :)

Not the first time I've seen this happen...

BUT!

It is the first time I've seen this happen to someone who's not moving Deviations from one account to another.

Do we need any more proof that the there's people in the Deviant Art staff who aren't quite paying attention to what they're doing?

If I were an admin, I'd report one of my own deviations as stolen, respond to the report by deleting it, then writing a rant about how it was unfairly deleted, and then put it back after pointing out my error to my self through a note.

Though doing that would probably get me fired. By myself.

....bitter ironic injustice. Sorry it had to happen to you.
