Usually, a flash animator would fiercely guards his/her own flash animation source file from other people to see. but today, I will gladly show you guys, behind the scenes on how pokemon hunter looks like on the fla file
dont be awe of the amount of layers I used, this is already the average
I've work with layers near to their hundreds before...
so anyway, be patient to let it load cause its like over 15MB huge, but it shows you a new look and view on how the animation looks like outside the flash. and maybe, you may learn something new from watching how I animate.
in the future, I may do video tutorials on flash if I am able to pull it off and keeping it short and understandable.
Ive always wanted to make flash animations, but my programs are slightly
or im just stupid.
ILL NEVER BE ABLE TO MAKE A FLASH ANIMATION
P.s. whats your ideal pokemon team?
but I'm sure it'll suck
do you do the body parts seperately, altogether,or both in different place?
howd you get the whole animation into one single scene?
and did you swap symbols?when i swap symbols, and then rewind the timeline, the old symbol is lost, why is that?
...........sorry,but you WERE the one saying that we can ask questions
yes, you have to make the body parts separately to have the classic tween work
geting the whole animation into a single scene is just working everything in that white work box size given? I mean, thats to your camera skills on what u want the viewer to see?
yes I swap symbols, the symbol swapping thing may be a little buggy. usually if the symbol dosent change properly, u can try creating a new keyframe below it and do the swap. try to also keep the symbol format when u swap the same type ie. movie clip, movie clip or graphic symbol, graphic symbol.
I did have one question about something I've seen in all of your completed animations and in other animations I've seen around dA. In your .fla file it's obvious you can see the excess bits that enter from outside the stage into the stage and so forth. I was wondering how you made it so when someone presses 'download' on say the completed version of your first PKMN Hunter animation you made it so just the orange background shows and not the excess shown coming in from outside the stage.
I'd be so grateful if you could help me out with this and thanks so much for reading this in advance!
1) I know that you need to import sounds into either the stage or library in order to use them, and then drag the sound file into the flash itself in order for the sound to be heard. However, when I hit the "Enter" button in an attempt to sync the animation with the music, the music doesn't stop playing. Any idea how to prevent this?
2) How do you crop (or stop) the music overall? For example, if I use a music track that's two minutes long, yet my animation is only thirty seconds long. How will I be able to "crop" the song into the thirty seconds desired (like using sound from the middle of the song itself)?
3) How do I stop a song in the end of the final animation overall if the full song isn't used? Do I put in something like a blank keyframe?
As I said just starting out, kinda annoying when you've got adobe flash and I'm watching your tuts in macromedia but I'll get there anyhow.
psst, think you could make some kind of tutorial on camera angles and special effects? (like fire/water/etc powers) thatd be so helpful!
But great idea.
Whoa you don't name your layers? XD
I see it should be more confusing when you name them, right?
How di you make the drawings? Do you sketch them in Paper, scan them and traced it in Flash? or draw you it directly in Flash? Do you use a tablet?
Sorry, have much to learn about flash, hope i don't bother you xD
Q: At one point shards of ice radiate out from the centre of the frame, can you achieve this effect without each shard having it's own layer?
Props for showing the FLA file
how long did this take for you to make!?!?!?!?
