Background Story

Magic or Ether as it is called by the natives is a natural life force that exists in the world. Ether comes from the land itself and can be molded by trained wizards to perform magic. The ability of these wizards to cast their spells depends greatly upon the concentration of Ether around them. Most wizards with sufficient training are however able to store molded Ether for use later.

Ether is concentrated in several geographical locations and these places are known as Ether Havens. Magical towns are built around these Ether Havens where wizards and sorcerers from around the world gather. It is also around these Ether Havens that magical academies are built. Due to the high concentration of Ether in the surrounding lands, it will be relatively easy to train apprentices in the art of magic. The land around these Ether Havens also gives birth to magical creatures that the player will be able to interact with during the game.

man I loved this a lot I sure hope you guys are still developing this because it will be awesome. Theres a lot of little games like this that make really good money. Try making puzzles for students to figure out with your guidance. Building more onto the school should also be interesting as well.

Ok, you are probably not gonna read my pathetic little input on the game. I figured out the features pretty much on my own. anywho.

Here's some ideas, I kind of think you wont work further on this project, I hope I'm not correct in this assumption. But oh well... Suggestions here we go:

1) I think you should add explanations throughout the game, the mini game is kind of strange. I mean, I don't get why the old man is suggesting which colour potion I should make. It's not just obvious.

2) I think it should be possible to click on the students to see how far they've gotten in their education, a % list etc.

3) As somebody else said I think you should make it possible to make more floors.

4) maybe make lvls? Tutorials etc.? Well, you might not want this to be a whole "Theme Hospital" etc. But, I'd definitely buy the concept of the whole idea. Not that I have the money for it xD

All in all the game amused me :)

a) Did you finish the game?
I don't really think games like this have a well-defined endings.

b) What was most memorable about the game?
Load times on the Potions minigame. Love the new icon.

c) What was most frustrating?
I still think some keyboard scrolling & hotkeys would be great, though the school itself is small enough that edge-scroll might be sufficient.

D) Are the Visual animations/graphics visible to you. ie, is it too small?
In some cases the graphics seem a little too big. The detail in the graphics is good; the graduation hat is a nice touch. It'd be nice to have a zoom function, though. I also suspect the fullscreen mode isn't running in my screen's native resolution and widescreen aspect ratio.

E) Is this game interesting? visually? concept?
Still like the concept; it has a great deal of potential. It's a pleasure to test. I found a repeatable bug: if you delete a room while room query is open for that room, the game crashes when the room query dialog closes or changes. Straightforward fix.

F) Any Gameplay ideas?
Some statistics would be really handy. Gameplay does get a bit old. Introducing some bonus and|or regular goals/tasks/objectives might spice things up.

Agreement with previous posts that the castle is a bit confined. It works as a sandbox for now. Maybe other locations/difficulties have different castle sizes/layouts? Or maybe make that a budget consideration? (I could probably make suggestions all day, but you might've already discussed these.)

There's this weird thing that you can click classrooms through windows, and sometimes your courses become invisible!
I love this game, though. It got kind of boring after 100 students graduated, though. O_o I was impressed I was even able to sit there for that long... All my custom courses were really long.

I, luckily, have never had any problems with it opening and running on this version. :3
