Magic or Ether as it is called by the natives is a natural life force that exists in the world. Ether comes from the land itself and can be molded by trained wizards to perform magic. The ability of these wizards to cast their spells depends greatly upon the concentration of Ether around them. Most wizards with sufficient training are however able to store molded Ether for use later.
Ether is concentrated in several geographical locations and these places are known as Ether Havens. Magical towns are built around these Ether Havens where wizards and sorcerers from around the world gather. It is also around these Ether Havens that magical academies are built. Due to the high concentration of Ether in the surrounding lands, it will be relatively easy to train apprentices in the art of magic. The land around these Ether Havens also gives birth to magical creatures that the player will be able to interact with during the game.
